<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a photo album by editing images according to preference while viewing how all objects are treated. <P>SOLUTION: In the photo album preparation apparatus, the display area of each object in each image is calculated by applying image recognition processing to all the images fetched into the photo album, and object information based on the display area in which each image is laid out, the display area of the object in the image and the number of the images wherein the object appears in the photo album is displayed.
