PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving fault resistance by making each of ring nodes constituting a ring network redundant by means of an active system termination block and an inactive system termination block and switching to the inactive system termination block to continue operation when a fault occurs in the active system termination block. SOLUTION: The ring node transfers data from a terminal side to the active system termination block and to the inactive system termination block, judges transmission source information of the data, registers the data on a database, sends the data from a ring-side interface to a ring, transfers data received from the ring to the active system termination block and to the inactive system termination block, refers to the database to judge destination information of the data and transfers the data to a terminal-side interface, and the terminal-side interface selects data from the active system termination block and transfers the selected data to the terminal side.
