PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal composition that has the steroid C17,20lyase inhibiting activity, and is useful for preventing and treating prostatism or tumor such as breast cancer. SOLUTION: The steroid C17,20lyase inhibitor includes a compound represented by the formula (I) (wherein A1is an aromatic hydrocarbon group which may bear a substituent or a heterocyclic group which may bear a substituent, one of A2or A3is H atom, a halogen atom, a 1-4 C aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may bear a substituent or a carboxy group which may be esterified, the other is an aromatic hydrocarbon group which may bear a substituent or a heterocyclic group which may bear a substituent wherein at least one of A1, A2, and A3is 3-pyridyl group which may bear a substituent) or salt or prodrug thereof.
