PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of reducing problems such as drop-off and damage of electronic components mounted on an inspection circuit board to control objects to be inspected and an inspection method using the device. SOLUTION: The inspection device 1 includes a liquid display panel control circuit board 40 to control a liquid display panel 95 to be inspected through a fixing plate 50. The liquid display panel control circuit board 40 is fixed to the fixing plate 50 with the mounting surface 42 on which electronic components are mounted opposed to the projected surface 52 of the fixing plate.
