PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device which suppresses a play of a sliding door in the vertical direction and the vehicle width direction when the door is completely closed, and also suppresses the secular sagging of the door. SOLUTION: In the sliding door device, a lower guide roller 4 rockingly mounted on a lower roller bracket 5 provided on a sliding door 1 is guided by a lower guide rail 3 provided on a vehicle body, and allows the sliding door 1 to slide in an opening/closing manner. The slide door device has a door supporting means to support the sliding door 1 from the lower side when the sliding door 1 is closed, and the door supporting means is provided on a part immediately below and in a vicinity of the sliding door 1. The door supporting means comprises: a door supporting bracket 9 mounted on the lower roller bracket 5; a door supporting roller 10 turnably mounted on the door supporting bracket 9; and a door supporting plate 11 fixed to a vehicle body to guide the door supporting roller 10 rolling along the opening/closing locus of the sliding door 1.
