PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adding a flocculant which can improve the separation efficiency of a suspended solid contained in water to be treated. SOLUTION: In this method, the suspended solid contained in the water to be treated is separated by spouting a flocculant in a powdery form to add the flocculant to the water which has been spouted in a misty form.
