SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POSITION PURSUIT IN ZIGBEE ZONE

A position tracking system in a Zigbee zone and a method thereof are provided to uniformly form the cell size of communications region formed by corresponding ZIs by forming a Zigbee network where a plurality of ZIs are distributed in a grid format. When a position tracking server receives a ZI ID and received-signal strength data transmitted through an u-GW from a ZEM(S21), ZIs are searched on an actual map stored in a database based on a ZI ID(S22). Distance information corresponding to the received signal strength stored in the database is calculated(S23). The circle done around 3 or 4 ZIs is generated on the map and the spot in which circle overlaps is searched(S25). The overlapping spot is appointed as the spot where ZEM is positioned and is stored in the database(S26).
