An electronic processing apparatus comprises one or more remote interacti ve display devices (10) and a calculator unit (21), wherein the display devi ce (10) comprises at least a screen (12), a connector (11) selectively conne ctable to the calculator unit (21), a user interface device (13) and a micro processor (14), whereas the calculator unit (21) comprises at least one or m ore connectors (28, 30, 32), able to be selectively connected to the connect or (11), a processor (24) and a non-volatile memory (26). The display device (10), is able to transmit information relating to its own functioning param eters to the calculator unit (21), which are compared with predetermined inf ormation recorded in the non-volatile memory (26) so as to identify and sele ct the functioning parameters of the display device (10) and to obtain an au tomatic configuration of the display device (10).
