<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating alloy capable of generating hydrogen at low cost, with easy handling, at high efficiency, to provide a hydrogen generating method using the alloy, and a fuel cell using the hydrogen generated by the method as a fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generating alloy comprises a tin-gallium alloy containing 93 atom% or less tin (not inclusive of 0 atom%), and at least one kind of a metallic element selected from a group of metallic elements having lower standard electrode potential than gallium (for example, aluminum, magnesium, silicon, and zinc) in an amount of 0.1 mass% or more with respect to the total volume of the tin-gallium alloy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
