<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a bio battery causes drop in power generation capacity by activity deterioration of enzymes, mediators, or the like immobilized on an electrode, and deterioration by oxidation reaction caused by dissolved oxygen when operated under natural environment or in vivo environment cannot be prevented, and cannot continue power generation for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: A biodegradable polymer whose decomposition rate is controllable is utilized. For example, by connecting two or more bio batteries in a state being separated from an electrolyte solution, contact of an electrolyte solution with an electrode successively occurs by decomposition of the polymer, power generation successively starts in every cell, and as a result, power generation can be continued for a long time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
