PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerated polyethylene terephthalate fiber having a functional agent imparted thereto in good durability. SOLUTION: The functional modified cross-section type regenerated polyethylene terephthalate fiber is obtained by using a regenerated polyethylene terephthalate and the functional agent as main raw materials, and has a fiber cross section in a shape obtained by adding one or more protruded parts to a C-shape, or a polygonal shape having five or more protruded parts. The functional agent is selected from a water- and oil-repellent agent, an antibacterial agent, a deodorant agent, a stainproof agent, an anti-tick agent, an antistatic agent, a water-absorbing agent, a heat-absorbing and generating agent, a far-infrared warm-keeping agent, an allergen-inactivating agent, and a flame retardant, and is kneaded in the fiber or attached to the surface of the fiber.
