PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the coefficient of the performance of a heat pump heating system. SOLUTION: The heat pump heating system comprises a heat storage heat exchanger 15 alternately repeating the heat storage operation of heating while storing heat in a heat storage member 12, and the heat radiating operation of heating while radiating heat from the heat storage member 12, and supplying heat to the heat storage member 12 from a heat medium to generate a dehydrating reaction; a heat radiating heat exchanger 17 applying heat to water generated by the dehydrating reaction from the heat medium to evaporate water and making the evaporated water and the heat storage member 12 react with each other; a heat recovery heat exchanger 18 recovering heat radiated from the heat storage member 12 by reaction with the evaporated water into the heat medium; a first switching means 10 switching a heat medium line 7 so that the heat medium coming out of a heating terminal 9 circulates via the heat storage heat exchanger 15 in the heat storage operation and circulates through the heat radiating heat exchanger 17 in the heat radiating operation; and a second switching means 11 switching the heat medium line 7 not to circulate the heat medium through the heat recovery heat exchanger 18 in the heat storage operation but to circulate the heat medium through the heat recovery heat exchanger 18 in the heat radiating operation.
