PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet pile press-in and extraction machine which has flexibility that is applicable to steel sheet piles of a different joint pitch, and to both a U-shaped steel sheet pile and a Z-shaped steel sheet pile. SOLUTION: The steel-sheet pile press-in and extraction machine includes: a plurality of clamping devices 3 which each place a clamp claw 25 consisting of a fixed clamp claw 12 and a movable clamp claw 13 astride an upper edge of the already disposed steel sheet pile, and at the same time each clamp the steel sheet pile by extending the movable clamp claw 13 toward the fixed clamp claw 12 by a clamp cylinder 15; a chucking device 10 which chucks the steel sheet pile to be pressed in or extracted by inserting the same between the fixed chuck claw 52 and the movable chuck claw 53, and at the same time by extending the movable chuck claw 53 toward the fixed chuck claw 52 by a chuck cylinder 54; and a press-in and extraction cylinder 9 for pressing in or extracting the chucked steel sheet pile. Herein the steel sheet pile press-in or and extraction machine that can adjust the position of the clamp claws 25 of the clamping devices 3 is proposed as an essential means.
