PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal print head in which occurrence of print flaw resulting from contact with a part other than an exothermic part is reduced at the time of printing. SOLUTION: The thermal print head comprises a heat insulation layer 12 formed in protruding stripe on the major surface of an insulating substrate 11 and having an arcuate cross-section consisting of a first inclining portion 19 and a second inclining portion 20 formed to be centered on the top portion, an exothermic resistor layer 13 formed on the heat insulation layer 12 to become an exothermic part 16 partially, a first electrode layer 14 arranged along the first inclining portion 19, a connection terminal part 21 formed on the first electrode layer 14 and being wire bonded, and a second electrode layer 15 opposing the first electrode layer 14 through a clearance becoming the exothermic part 16 on the exothermic resistor layer 13 and arranged along the second inclining portion 20 on which the exothermic part 16 is formed.
