<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stator position adjusting method that makes it possible to obtain a motor drive device, in which vibration (noise in particular) generated from the motor drive device because of a stator is low, and to obtain a stator position adjusting system that can adjust the stator position. <P>SOLUTION: With regard to a first permissible range Tr1, which is the maximum permissible range of stator axial center which makes a first gap g1 formed between the outside circumference surface of a stator and the inside circumferential surface of the motor casing, and a second permissible range Tr2, which is the maximum permissible range of stator axial center which makes a second gap g2 formed between the inside circumference surface of a stator and the outside circumferential surface of a rotor, the first permissible range Tr1 is set to the second permissible range Tr2 or lower and the position of the stator axial center Zs is measured.
