<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit audio data improved in a compression rate by conducting predictive encoding of a multi-channel audio signal. <P>SOLUTION: An adder circuit 1a computes sum signals (L+R) of stereophonic two channel signals L and R and a subtracting circuit 1b computes difference signals (L-R). Difference computing circuits 11D1 and 11D2 compute differencesΔ(L+R) andΔ(L-R) of this time and the previous time. Predictive coding circuits 15D1, 15D2, 16D1 and 16D2 compute a plurality of predictive values of the differencesΔ(L+R) andΔ(L-R), compute each predictive residual of the plurality of predictive values and the differencesΔ(L+R) andΔ(L-R) and select a minimum predictive residual to make a predictive encoding data into a packet, and then, transmit the data thereof through a prescribed communication line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
