<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front cover having high durability and acquiring a strength by a formation in a layer thickness while obtaining desired optical characteristics, and also to provide a light-emitting device, and a manufacturing method for the front cover. <P>SOLUTION: In the front cover 6 for the light-emitting device having light transparency, a composite element composed of a sub-mount element and a light-emitting element is fitted so as to cover the opening of a recessed-shaped package loaded on a bottom section. In the front cover 6 for the light-emitting device, a base board 61 is formed of a plate glass material, and the front cover 6 is formed by dropping a cold-setting glass material onto the base board 61 by a spin coating method and successively laminating one or more of dimming boards 62 adjusting optical characteristics from the light-emitting element. The dimming board 62 is composed of a first dimming board 62a, a second one 62b and a third one 62c, and the optical characteristics of an irradiating light from the light-emitting element are adjusted because phosphors emitting a light in different colors respectively are contained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
