PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase shifter that sufficiently suppresses variations in passing loss associated with impedance mismatching between phase shifters during the phase shift. SOLUTION: A PIN diode can be equivalently considered as a pure resistor when applied with a forward bias voltage. A forward bias current of the PIN diode is changed so as to change a resistance value. Thus, it is possible to attenuate signals inputted to phase shifters. Consequently, it is possible to sufficiently suppress variations in passing loss associated with impedance mismatching between phase shifters during the phase shift. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
