PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high S/N, especially, for a high-luminance area when accumulated charges which can not be output by a single read are divided and transferred. SOLUTION: When accumulated charges which can not be output by a single read are divided and transferred, a level decision unit 153 decides that a signal level is lower than a reference level in such a case and supplies a processing stop signal to a processing stop unit 154.
