PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive undesired wave removing receiver which separates a wireless communication signal into an upper-sideband signal and a lower-sideband signal, and removes a wanted wave and image. SOLUTION: An undesired wave removing receiver is characterized in that a baseband converted wireless communication signal into an upper-sideband signal and a lower-sideband signal, and an undesired wave is removed by selecting, as a band to be used, any one of the upper-sideband signal, the lower-sideband signal and a double-sideband signal, on the basis of comparing an S/N of the single-sideband signal to an S/N of the double-sideband signal.
