PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional selection method, a user is annoyed by using a cursor for selection when a large number of images are displayed in a screen, while when selecting a plurality of images or files displayed in a screen, upper and left and right and left keys of a remote control device are generally used in a home electrical appliance which does not adopt mouse operation unlike a personal computer. SOLUTION: This screen object selection device is characterized in that images to be selected are stored in association with N-dimensional grid coordinate values, and the stored images are arranged in an N-dimensional grid manner in a screen, and the coordinate values are arranged in each axis configuring the N-dimensional grids in the screen, and the input of the coordinate values of each axis is accepted in order to select the images, and the images are specified based on the accepted coordinate values.
