PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation unit for an on-vehicle air conditioner capable of easily identifying whether or not the on-vehicle air conditioner is in a specific operating condition based on an operating condition of a pointer type display device. SOLUTION: In an auto mode, a pointer 104 is operated at lower speed than that in a manual mode. In the manual mode, prompt movement of the pointer 104 following change of a control parameter by a user reduces uncomfortable feeling during operation. In contrast, in the auto mode in which the control parameter is changed initiated by a vehicle side, since it is unnecessary to consider operating intention of the user when determining movement of the pointer 104, setting of the movement of the pointer 104 at lower speed can create an atmosphere of comfortable automatic control and produce a sophisticated impression.
