PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever locking device of a vehicular automatic transmission capable of reducing the number of parts, having a simple and sturdy structure and excellent durability, and obtaining crisp feeling in shifting operation, without generating operation sound when shift locking is released. SOLUTION: When the locking of a shift lever 1C is released, since a link member 7 and an electromagnetic solenoid 12 abut on each other from the beginning, the link member 7 does not strike on the electromagnetic solenoid 12 at the time of lock releasing accompanied with energizing to the electromagnetic solenoid 12, so that striking sound is not generated. Since limited members such as the electromagnetic solenoid 12, a holder 3, a moving element 4, the link member7, and a sliding casing 6 are required, the number of parts can be reduced and a simple and sturdy structure is materialized. The moving element 4 is slid to an uneven surface portion of the sliding casing 6, so that crisp feeling can be obtained in shifting operation to each range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
