PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the rim assembly workability without degrading the fitting force to a wheel, and unifying the fitting force in the tire circumferential direction after the rim assembly. SOLUTION: The thickness A of the pneumatic tire in the tire width direction from an outer end of a bead part 3 in the tire width direction to an outer end of a bead core 6a in the tire width direction and the thickness B in the tire radial direction from an inner end of the bead part in the tire radial direction to an inner end in the tire radial direction of the bead core are different from each other at a plurality of parts in the tire circumferential direction, and the pneumatic tire can easily ride over a hump 12 without reducing the fastening force by the bead core 6a. In this condition, the changing quantity is determined so that the sum C of the thickness A in the tire width direction and the thickness B in the tire radial direction is≤1 mm in the tire circumferential direction, and the thickness A in the tire width direction of the bead part 3 and the thickness B in the tire radial direction are substantially uniform in the tire circumferential direction while a wheel 10 is fitted to a rim 11.
