<p>A method and device for Passive Optical Network (PON) failure detection, as well as a Passive Optical Network (PON) system are used for obtaining monitor information of the opposite device before the PON system failure occurring. The method includes the steps of: obtaining monitor information of an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) itself and monitor information of an Optical Network Unit (ONU) itself; judging the failure of the Passive Optical Network (PON) according to the obtained monitor information of the Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and the Optical Network Unit (ONU) themselves. By means of obtaining monitor information of the opposite devicebefore the PON system failure occurring, the failure could be discovered in time, the failure would be guaranteed to be eliminated as soon as possible, and the system maintenance cost could be saved.</p> |
