A clutch assembly (31) is provided that substantially prevents a fishing reel (41) from rotating in one direction. At least one race (34, 35) of a ball bearing assembly (4, 5) is formed integrally with the one-way clutch (31), thereby improving functional performance by reducing tolerances and aiding in assembly.
