PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MMP gene expression promotor, a metabolism promotor for collagen, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical with high safety.

SOLUTION: The MMP gene expression promotor containing an effective amount of the extract of Angelica keiskei root, the metabolism promotor for collagen containing an effective amount of the extract of Angelica keiskei root, the cosmetic containing the extract of Angelica keiskei root, the pharmaceutical containing an effective amount of the extract of Angelica keiskei root for treatment of fibrosing condition, and a method for preparation of the same, are provided.
