<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of definition in the graphics of a data screen by temporarily invalidating over-scan setting when over-scan is being set and data other than a moving picture are displayed. <P>SOLUTION: When the over-scan is being set, a digital television broadcast receiving apparatus performs magnification displaying by validating the over-scan setting when only the moving picture of a received television program is displayed, and performs displaying by invalidating the over-scan setting when a data broadcast image is displayed.
