<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for supplying a large quantity of Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a vector containing an expression cassette containing a promoter acting in E.coli and a nucleotide obtained by the in-frame linking of a nucleotide encoding a prepro sequence of a glutamic acid-specific protease derived from Staphylococcus epidermis or a variant prepro sequence obtained by 5-amino acid substitution of a prepro sequence of Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease with a nucleotide encoding mature protease, and expressing an inactivating soluble protease in E.coli, a transformant containing the expression vector, and a method for the production of an inactivating protease containing a step to culture the transformant, recover the supernatant of the cultured product and the purifying the protease from the recovered supernatant of the cultured product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
