<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directional sound system capable of achieving a surrounding sound effect by performing virtual sound source control in consideration of arrangements of peripheral buildings or objects. <P>SOLUTION: The directional sound system has: an ultrasonic speaker having a variable angle mechanism for changing an angle of a sound wave radiation axis of an ultrasonic transducer so that a sound wave transducer is scanned in a desired spatial region; a microphone for detecting a sound pressure of sound output radiated from the ultrasonic speaker; a detection strength profile generation means for generating a detection strength profile in the detected space based on the strength of the sound output detected by the microphone; a storage means for saving the detection strength profile; and a control means for controlling a movable scope of the ultrasonic transducer by referring to the detection strength profile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
