<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink using a pigment having low heat stability represented by a monoazo pigment optimum for a method for forming an image by which ink drops are jetted from a recording head by actions of heat energy to record an image on a recording medium and capable of solving the intrinsic problems thereof, to provide specifically the ink using the azo pigment affording good jetting stability without problems of deposits in a nozzle and providing a high-quality image having high color developing properties even when the ink is continuously jetted and to provide a method for forming the image using the ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink is used in the method for forming the image by which the ink drops are jetted from the recording head by the actions of the heat energy to record the image on the recording medium. The ink comprises each of the components of (a) the azo pigment, (b) a dispersant, (c) a liquid medium and (d) a 5-6C diol compound having ≥2 methyl groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
