摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an electric dispersion compensation which is simple and is high in compensation effect. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving optical signals transmitted from an optical transmitter 1 having a chirp parameter by a photodetector 3 through an optical fiber 2 and compensating waveform degradation caused by the group speed dispersion of the optical fiber 2 in an electric dispersion compensation filter 4, for the amplitude characteristics of the dispersion compensation, the gain becomes almost maximum at a frequency f<SB>d0</SB>to be almost minimum in the amplitude characteristics of a transmission function I<SB>res</SB>(f) constituted of the optical transmitter 1, the optical fiber 2 and the photodetector 3 and the gain becomes almost minimum at a frequency f<SB>u1</SB>to be almost maximum in the amplitude characteristics of the transmission function I<SB>res</SB>(f). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
