<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system for early detecting double feed of paper sheets inserted to minimize the waste of the inserted paper sheets and processed paper sheet bundle, without stopping an apparatus unnecessarily. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system has inserted paper sheet bundles a1, a4, a6 and b1, b4, b6 for a plurality of copies (here, two copies) placed on an inserter tray 83 of an insertion apparatus 80, and between the respective sheet bundles, confirmation paper X with a longer conveying length than the insertion paper sheet is set. After conveying a part of the paper sheet bundles, one paper sheet is supplied from the insertion apparatus 80, and whether it is a confirmation paper X is determined by measuring the time (conveying length) for passing through the insertion detection sensor 91. When the confirmation paper X is not supplied, image formation in a copying machine 1 and binding process in a paper post-processing apparatus 20 are stopped and a message showing abnormality is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
