<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security unit (SCU) for vehicles, aircrafts, ships and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The security unit (SCU) has at least one cryptography module (KU). A cryptographic key is generated, stored, managed and/or processed by the cryptography module (KU). The SCU has at least one internal communications module (IKOM) for communicating with one or more controllers (ECU) of a communications system (KV). Moreover, a programming module is provided for forwarding a software module, data and their authenticity and integrity tests within the SCU. The SCU, further, has a coordination module (KM), and the KM manages the hardware resources of the SCU, assigns them to applications, and guarantees communications among the modules of the SCU. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
