<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter having both excellent followability and easiness in forcing in a bending blood vessel without impairing the operability in inserting the catheter. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter has at least a distal end shaft made of a resin tube and a rear end shaft with higher rigidity than the distal end shaft. The length of the distal end shaft is larger than 25% and smaller than 33% of the total length of the shaft of the catheter.
