PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side trimmer device safely avoiding a trouble due to collision of an end part of a metal belt and a side trimmer in setting width of the side trimmer without giving a danger to an operator. SOLUTION: A pantograph type structure 10 is provided on a floor surface between the side trimmers 1, 1 on this side trimmer device arranging the side trimmers 1, 1 each of which is furnished with a pair of round blades 2 for cutting arranged vertically on both sides of a metal belt pass line. This is operated by any one of the operator and an air pressure, hydraulic pressure, or electric motor, the metal belt is pushed up higher than the side trimmer 1 on the lower side in setting the width of the side trimmer 1, and the collision of the metal belt and the side trimmer 1 is prevented.
