PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content download delivery reservation method along with a recording reservation function of a broadcast program in consideration of a processing capability in an appliance and the use state of resources in a digital household electrical appliance which comprises a network connection function and a video recording device and receives a broadcast program service and a content delivery service. SOLUTION: In this content delivery system comprising a delivery server device and a recording and reproducing device, the recording and reproducing device is provided with a program recording reservation part for managing broadcast program recording reservation information using a video recording function provided in the device, a terminal resource managing part for managing resource use reservation information, such as the video recording function provided in the device, a network communication function and a processing load of the device, and a download reservation part for determining a content distribution time zone with the distribution server device with reference to the broadcast program recording reservation information managed by the program recording reservation part and the resource use reservation information managed by the terminal resource managing part.
