PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the residual quantity of fuel by suppressing the cost, as much as possible, even when a fuel tank is made compact or made into a complex shape. SOLUTION: This liquid level sensor comprises a float 11 of which at least the part is input to fuel liquid in the fuel tank 20, and a sensor 13 for detecting a buoyant force applied to the float 11, according to the residual quantity of the fuel in the fuel tank 20, and then the residual quantity of the fuel is measured according to the detected buoyant force of the float 11.
