PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device capable of controlling an increase in sliding resistance of a sliding portion of a piston member even in a case that an unbalanced load is imposed when mounting onto an engine. SOLUTION: In the fuel injection device including an actuator 5 having a piezoelectric stack of piezoelectric elements as a displacement generating source; a piston member 7 having a first piston 71 and a second piston 73 axially movably supported in a guide hole 6a and transmitting displacement of the actuator 5 to the first piston 71 and the second piston 73 in this order; a nozzle needle 31 for opening and closing an injection hole 33 in accordance with the displacement of the piston member 7; and housings 2, 6 and 32 respectively containing the actuator 5, the piston member 7 and the nozzle needle 31, a side face (surface) 71a of the first piston 71 running along the guide hole 6a is shaped into an axially directed spherical surface (a curved surface).
