PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method by which corrosion from the interface between a fiber and a metal layer is prevented and a flexible metal-covered fabric having excellent environmental durability such as drying resistance and moisture resistance, and flexing resistance can be produced by improving the adhesion between the fiber constituting the fabric and the metal layer without damaging the feeling and strength of the fabric. SOLUTION: The method for producing the metal-covered fabric includes a step for jetting a slurry containing a polishing material having 4-150μm median diameter provided in JIS Z 8901 on the surface of the fiber constituting the fabric at 0.06-0.4 MPa air pressure, and a step for forming a metal layer on the surface of the resultant fiber.
