PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed bag capable of preserving food of high quality (in taste, nutritional value, color, taste, etc.) for a longer time than the bag made by using a retort sterilizing method, and to provide a manufacturing method for a sealed bag. SOLUTION: The sealed bag is manufactured by the method described below. While a superposed body 9b of a film-like wrapping material 9 is transferred in a lengthwise direction, its vertical heat-sealable areas 10 and 11 extending in this lengthwise direction are closed to form the superposed body 9b into a tubular shape. Then, a first sidewise heat-seal 26a is formed in the tubular superposed body 9b, thereby forming a bottomed bag. Next, the bottomed bag is filled with Soba-yu (hot water after being used for boiling soba ). A second sidewise heat seal is then formed to separate the Soba-yu (hot water after being used for boiling soba), and thus a sealed bag 7 is formed. The film-like wrapping material is sterilized in advance. A step from the supply of the sterilized film-like wrapping material to the formation of the sealed bag is conducted under sterile atmosphere, and the bottomed bag is filled with the Soba-yu (hot water after being used for boiling soba) by a sterile filling method.
