PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure which has a high heat insulating performance and is capable of keeping heat insulating effect for a long time as well as being colored to any kind of color. SOLUTION: The heat insulating structure includes a substrate 12, a primer layer 14 applied on the substrate 12, a heat insulating layer 16 prepared by coating the primer layer with a resin coating in which a liquid crystal or a liquid crystal polymer with a heat energy conversion and an infrared light absorbing/heat insulating material are mixed, and a nano-photo-catalytic layer 18 which is applied on the heat insulating layer to react with ultraviolet light to turn hydrophilic.
