<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain at first an improvement in ink absorbency and also enlargement of a dot diameter of an ink droplet, to attain secondly both of the improvement in the ink absorbency and prevention of bronzing of cyan ink, and to attain thirdly the excellent ink absorbency and also the enlargement of the dot diameter of the ink droplet even in the case where a minute ink droplet is given. <P>SOLUTION: The upper layer contains an alumina hydrate and a binder and the mass ratio of (binder)/(alumina hydrate)×100 between the alumina hydrate and the binder in the upper layer is 4-6%.
