PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for making a current position of one's own vehicle recognized suitably even when the own vehicle position deviates from a preset retrieval route. SOLUTION: When a determining means (CPU (Central Processing Unit) 11 and determining program 18b3) determines that the own vehicle position detected by a detecting means (CPU 11, GPS positioning section 12, and detection program 18b1) deviates from the retrieval route set by a retrieval route setting means (CPU 11 and retrieval route setting program 18b2), a display controlling means (CPU 11 and display control program 18b7) displays, on a display section 14, the direction and distance from the current position of the own vehicle calculated by a calculating means (CPU 11 and calculation program 18b5) to the own vehicle position finally stored by an own vehicle position history storage means (own vehicle position history data table 18a2).
