PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a termination means from being damaged even in the case that a video signal containing a DC voltage component greater than a predetermined voltage is erroneously inputted to a video input terminal. SOLUTION: A video input circuit 1 according to the present invention comprises a video input terminal 51, a termination means 52 for terminating a video signal from the video input terminal 51, and a DC voltage detection circuit 53 for detecting whether or not a DC voltage component contained in a video signal exceeds a predetermined voltage, wherein electrification to the termination means 52 is stopped in accordance with a detection result of the DC voltage detection circuit 53.
