PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-way clutch capable of preventing effectively a slip of a shell outer ring inside a housing and suppressing the product costs. SOLUTION: The two-way clutch 11 is equipped with the shell outer ring 12 having a notch 15 at one end in the axial direction, and a side plate 18 including a ring part 18a to be fitted on the outer ring end part where the notch 15 of the shell outer ring 12 is provided, and a detent part 18b positioned outside the outer diametric surface of the shell outer ring 12 about the radial direction upon passing the notch 15 from the peripheral surface of the ring part 18a.
