PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method and surface treatment equipment for paving aggregate, which can efficiently surface-treat a large amount of aggregate in the vicinity of a construction site. SOLUTION: This surface treatment equipment comprises: a movable and tiltable placement platform 2 which is constituted by covering a surface of a placement platform of a dump truck 1, having a tiltable loading platform, with a liquid leakage prevention means 3; a recovery device 4 which recovers a surplus surface treatment agent Q by tilting the placement platform 2 after a given quantity of surface treatment agent Q is sprayed on the surface of the aggregate W loaded by predetermined quantities on the placement platform 2; and a heating and drying oven 5 for heating and drying a surface of the aggregate W coated with the surface treatment agent Q. The liquid leakage prevention means 3, which is a resin sheet for covering the surface of the placement platform and preventing the surface treatment agent from being leaked to the outside, is laid along a corner of the placement platform 2. The recovery device 4 is a vessel such as an ordinary plastic bucket or drum can for recovering the surplus surface treatment agent Qx, and a heater and the like, not shown in Fig., are internally mounted in the heating and drying oven 5.
