PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a razor enabling even a younger woman unskilled in the use of the razor to securely use it, and to provide a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The razor has a razor blade 3 fixed in the front of a handle and equipped with a safety guard 4 having a slit 6 uncovering an edge in specified intervals and a bridge 7 covering the edge in a plurality of positions. The safety guard 4 has at least three-layer structure provided with a safety guard main body layer, a middle covering layer for covering the main body layer and an outer and covering polymer layer for covering the middle covering layer.
