PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent body 10 for which a plurality of openings 13 are suitably formed. SOLUTION: The absorbent body 10 for an absorbent article can absorb liquids and is provided with a plurality of high rigidity areas 11 and remaining low rigidity area 12, and the opening 13 is formed in each of the plurality of high rigidity areas 11.
