An electrolyte for a secondary battery is provided to improve the life performance of a battery and to minimize the reduction of initial capacity of a battery by forming an SEI film having excellent passivation effect on the surface of a negative electrode through comprising an acrylate compound having at least one EWG and at least two acryl groups. An electrolyte for a secondary battery comprises an acrylate compound having at least one EWG and at least two acryl groups. The electrode is formed with a solid electrolyte interface(SEI) film including the reaction product of the acrylate compound having at least one electron withdrawing group(EWG) and at least two acryl groups on the part or whole of the surface. The secondary battery includes an electrode and/or electrolyte.
